Prior to GPAT ???

Prior to GATE ???

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) was the solely aptitude test prior to GPAT for the Admission to postgraduate programmes (M.PHARM/M.S.) with MHRD and some other government scholarships/ assistantships in pharmacy/pharmaceutical science colleges/institutes. From 2010, Pharmacy (PY) is no longer on the GATE list, with GPAT as the replacement took this year on 2nd of May, 2010. The National co-ordination Board for GATE 2010 in its 35th meeting held on 23rd November at Guwahati had resolved that The AICTE (GPAT committee) will be responsible for the examination and will announce it. The GPAT committee will handle setting of question papers, evaluating answer scripts, declaring results and all other aspects. The GATE committee will provide all the necessary help and guidance in conducting   the examination for PY paper in 2010.
